Testimonials page 3.

I’m 35 years old, I’ve studied for many years and it wasn’t until I was lucky enough to have Sarnia as my tutor, that I really enjoyed and looked forward to learning.  I studied on and passed both Level 2 Counselling Skills and Level 3 Counselling Studies, I’m am really proud of this achievement and I know that without Sarnia as my tutor, I may well have given up…there were numerous times I felt like giving up!  Sarnia’s supportive and honest approach provided me with the direction and guidance I needed throughout the whole course.  Sarnia supported me while I was trying to figure out my thoughts, or when I found a certain aspect of the course difficult.  She also celebrated with me when I found certain of the aspects of the course fascinating or I felt like I’d achieved, and that’s just it, Sarnia is passionate about what she does and it comes across in her work.  I have always been intrigued by the ‘Mind’, and to be taught by someone with so much experience and love for the subject…it has just been amazing.

Sarnia Noble has been my tutor for the last 2 years and during this time I have successfully completed my Level 2 and 3 Counselling qualifications.  As a mature student I came to Sarnia’s class without having studied for 30 years and I was understandably nervous and rusty when it came to learning.

From my first contact with Sarnia her nurturing methods put me at ease and her own confidence in my abilities motivated me to complete not only the first term but the entire course and then to progress to the next level.  Throughout the 2 years I was trained by Sarnia her classes were well planned, inclusive, engaging and understandable. She encouraged questions from individuals and the group ensuring that we all had the correct knowledge before moving forward to a new topic/skill.  Sarnia motivated the group and through one to one sessions was able to use her own well developed counselling skills to support each individual.

Her support and encouragement have helped me take a journey to a greater understanding of myself and others one that two years ago I would not have thought possible.

I can highly recommend Sarnia Noble.  I studied with her for a year and found the experience enriching.  Her human approach, personal warmth and relaxed humour enabled me to make the most of my learning experience.  Sarnia was able to build and promote a good rapport with the people in her class and gave me the confidence to explore myself within a safe environment.  She helped me to recognize and work with my anxieties and I can safely say this experience resulted in noticeable changes in my attitude and behaviour around my studies and personal growth.  She provided me with high quality and interesting course material that she delivered in such a way that engaged and promoted group discussions.  No two lessons were the same.  Sarnia has given me a fantastic start towards qualifying as a counsellor.

'Sarnia was a great tutor;  knowledgeable,  approachable,  warm and with endless patience. She adapted her teaching style to the particular student she was working with and used a number of different methods to ensure everybodies needs were met, which had the added benefit of keeping it interesting. She has a great way of engaging with the class without ever being patronising or superior and gently wakes you up to yourself!'

Sarnia is an inspirational teacher; she made learning fun and understood me from the first day I walked into her classroom.  Sarnia was very natural and often used personal or real life experiences to help me understand the message she was conveying.  Her enthusiasm and passion kept me going many times when I wanted to quit.  She is caring and funny.  She was always there to listen and never judged.  I would recommend her to any learner, and can honestly say I would not be where I am today with my learning without her support.  Thank you is not enough.

I studied my level 3 in counselling with Sarnia, and absolutely loved it. The way in which she brought humour into the classroom certainly helped with my nerves. Sarnia has a natural passion in this field and this shows with the amount of knowledge she has. Her enthusiasm certainly rubbed off on me and I found myself eager to learn more each week.
Sarnia was always very supportive and totally honest with her students, I always felt I knew where I stood.
Tutorials always gave me the boost I needed if and when I was feeling I couldn't cope with the work load. I am so grateful to have been one of Sarnia's students as I truly feel she inspired me to continue on my journey onto level 4.
Thank you Sarnia and I sincerely wish you all the best in your future.

I cannot thank Sarnia enough for the support and encouragement she gave me during my time studying.   Listening to a tutor who clearly has passion for what she does makes learning so much easier and enjoyable.   I am excited to hear that Sarnia will be holding some workshops in the future and will definitely be attending.

Sarnia was my tutor for the first two years of my counsellor training. I hadn't been in a study environment for many years and the thought of starting again was daunting.  Sarnia looked after all her students wellbeing in a way which enabled us to be autonomous but also felt like she was there if we really needed help.  Her style of teaching is what I really enjoyed, she explained everything fully and in depth and frequently checked if we understood.  She always said that if we didn't understand something it was because she hadn't explained it properly.  Her knowledge of the counselling theories was vast and her many years of counselling experience helped us to understand the theories better.  She also understood us all very well and would give us examples of theoretical concepts based on ourselves and I felt this was an excellent way to learn, it made it all real.  All thus coupled with a touch of humour made learning under Sarnia a great experience!

J.Harwood (levels 2,3&4 skills studies & yr 1 diploma)

Two years ago I enrolled on a course that would turn out to be life changing for me. I decided to attend the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills to help in my new role as Pastoral Manager. Within a short space of time I knew that I wanted to take this further and actually train as a counsellor and have just enrolled on the Level 4 Diploma having studied and passed both level 2 and 3 under the superb guidance of Sarnia. I have found her to be an inspiring tutor who uses various teaching methods to engage her students. She is genuine, kind, compassionate and challenges, encourages and supports her students in their studies. The humour she uses in her teaching keeps you interested and engaged and I learnt and grew more than I ever expected. My only regret is that having had Sarnia as my tutor, I cannot now employ her as my therapist! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sarnia to anyone considering working with her.

K. Rettie (Level 2 skills & 3 studies)

Sarnia was my tutor for two years when I was studying my counselling qualification. I found Sarnia to be an excellent teacher who is able to enthusiastically share her knowledge, and is passionate about the development of her students. Sarnia is able to explore complex emotional topics with you on a one to one basis, and within a classroom environment. I experienced her ability to help you explore who you are, providing warm - yet professional support, as we all progressed. I felt the way Sarnia teaches is to share her knowledge with you and work together to wonder how the theories of counselling apply to you and your relationships. I cannot praise Sarnia's teaching and coaching ability enough. Highly recommended

"I thoroughly enjoyed my year studying with Sarnia. Every week brought a new challenge and with her insightful, questioning and rigorous teaching style I feel I was able to learn a tremendous amount about counselling in general. I also began to develop a much deeper sense of who I am and what drives me, some of which was quite surprising. With Sarnia I really felt there was nowhere to hide! And I mean this in the best possible way!"

L. Wildgust (L 2 skills)

" Sarnia was my tutor for the counselling skills level 2 course in 2014/2015. I thoroughly enjoyed Sarnia's approach to teaching she was professional yet engaging and enthusiastic which made each session informative and productive.  She created a learning environment that made us all feel comfortable and confident to be able to open up and share our thoughts and feelings.  I loved this course and believe this was largely due to the way that Sarnia lead and taught us"
